Mt. Makalu (8463m) is located in the east of Everest in the khumbu region. Makalu is the fifth highest peak in the world and 4th highest peak in the Nepal. Its perfect four sharp ridges pyramid structure makes all more spectacular. Actually Makalu is a double peak. Subsidary peak rising just north of the main summit connected by a saddle is called Chomolonzo.The summit ridge is the segregation point indicating the border between Nepal on southern side and Tibet to the north.
First our route transverse climbing all the way to Neghe Kharka and crossing the Barun khola which following from the Makalu .To reach the Makalu Base Camp (4823m) involves a sustained period at altitude with steep slopes but we can make our journey remarkable with a powerful views of Makalu.This is a territory of the glaciers, bounded by the memorable presence of the world’s mightiest mountains.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport and Transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Full Day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
Day 03: Preparation day.
Day 04: Fly to Tumlingtar; Drive to Num (1,505 m).
Day 05: Trek to Seduwa (1,530 m).
Day 06: Trek to Tashigaon (2,065m).
Day 07: Trek to Khongma La (3,562m).
Day 08: Trek to Mumbuk (3,550m).
Day 09: Trek to Yangle Kharka (3,610m).
Day 10: Rest day at Yangle Kharka for acclimatisation.
Day 11: Trek to Jhak Kharka (4,120 m).
Day 12: Trek to Makalu Base Camp (4,870m).
Day 13:-42: Climbing period (30 days).
Day 43: Base Camp clean-up.
Day 44: Trek back to Yangle Kharka.
Day 45: Trek back to Dobato.
Day 46: Trek back to Tashigaon.
Day 47: Trek back to Num.
Day 48: Drive Back to Tumlingtar.
Day 49: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 50: Free Day in Kathmandu, shopping and farewell dinner.
Day 51: Final Departure from Kathmandu, back to your country.
